Peaches and Oranges

Hi gals,

It was a some what nice day (for autumn) here in New Zealand so I decided today's blog post had to be bright and cheery. I love mixing vintage and repro clothing. I decided to pair my every so lovely Pinup Girl Clothing Orange border print Jenny skirt with one of my favorite shirts. I picked up this great peachy shirt from a Salvation Army for the large price of $3.
I don't often wear my Jenny skirt due to when I wear something under it, it becomes a bit too tight. The problem is that I own the large,  which is 30-31 inches and my waist is 30 inches so it doesn't leave me with much room.
I also thought my vintage wicker purse worked great with it. I love this bag. It has these amazing Lucite (i think) handles.
I hope you all enjoy this outfit. I feel as though i need to start doing more winter outfits, im just not ready for the cold months.

Last week my cat Jesse Pinkman joined me, this week  my brothers dog decided she would like to be on it too!
Can anyone spot the little fantail on the left? I felt like Snow White. I had two little birdies flying around me as i was taking photos. So cute.

Olive Owl and Maude cat Erstwilder Brooches

Hi Gals,

Two weeks ago i finally bit the bullet. I ordered two Erstwilder brooches. Boy was that a GREAT idea. I decided on Olive Owl and Maude cat. They are so darn cute. I see now see what all the hype is about. They look even better in real life than on the internet. I feel like a new obsession is coming on,

It was a beautiful day so i ventured in my Mums lovely garden to take some snaps of me wearing Maude cat. It went so perfect with my Bernie Dexter dress. Please excuse how bad the lighting is, it was far to sunny.

My cat Jesse Pinkman decided he wanted to be on the blog

I noticed the backs of each brooch are different. One is a clasp and one is just a "C" clasp. I thought they might be for different seasons, so the designers may have changed the back. Let me know what your Erstwilder brooch clasps are like.

I will definitely be buying more of these beauties. If you have been thinking of buying one, I defiantly recommend you take the plunge.

Friday Favorites

Hi Everyone,

I feel although i am cheating due to it being Saturday in New Zealand but it is Friday in other countries so i guess it counts.

I have always loved Miss L Fire shoes but unfortunately i don't own any. I feel like this will change as their Spring/Summer 15 range is to die for. I love that they have some many color options in each style. It means that they really have a shoe to suit anybody.

I have been lusting over swing trousers this week. I will probably never own any due to me worrying that they won't suit me. They just look so darn comfy. Those peach coloured ones are so good.

These two TV shows are my favorites at the moment. I can't get enough of them.
Forever is so interesting. Henry Morgan is so dapper. I don't want to tell you guys the plot due to me being terrible at describing them. Lets just say its a must watch,
How to get away with murder is also a great watch.

Vintage wicker purse are so fabulous. I am lucky to own one, but i need some with the sea shell designs. I was so tempted to buy one on Trade me but i couldn't justify spending $190 on one. Every time i google them i just can't help but feel sad that i don't own one. These are all just off Google images but you can find them on Etsy or Ebay.

I hope you all enjoyed that and you found this helpful to find super cute things.
Have a great day/night xx

Voodoo Vixen Susie Meow dress

Hey gal's,

Today I am talking about Voodoo Vixen's Susie Meow dress. I have been lusting over this dress for so long, but just had never got around to buying it. I was on Dollmeupdarling and saw they had it and it was crazy cheap. So obviously I snapped it up.

Now for my review of the lovely dress. I am usually a size large in Voodoo Vixen as I find their clothing does run kind of small. But Dollmeupdarling only had a size medium in stock, but I figured I could squeeze into it. It's a tight fit but not unwearable.

The fabric is a beautiful wool fabric. It is fully lined in the bodice and skirt.
The thing that drew me to this dress was the amazing huge collar and the pattern,  Its so different than any other dresses i have seen. I really does remind me of a true vintage dress. I feel like this will be a staple Winter dress for me, It looks great with a long sleeve underneath or by its self.
I feel like I defiantly need the cape now,

I feel like the colors in this dress really suit my orange hair.
