OOTD - Casual Winter Weekend

Hi everyone.
I haven't been posting to much this week due to starting my new job. I work  8am - 5pm with a 45 minute commute back and forth so it's a really long day so i have been so tired.
So here's Sunday's outfit. Today was a pretty boring day spent just running errands.
I don't know if you can tell but i have been wearing this skirt all the time, it really is the best winter skirt. I paired it with just a plain black long sleeve top but i am wearing it backwards. This gives it a more vintage and classic feel in my opinion.
I hope you all had a great weekend, thankfully it's a long weekend here in New Zealand so no work till Tuesday!

Wishlist Wednesday - Lingerie Edition

It is now approaching winter hear in old New Zealand, this means it's stocking weather. Although I don't wear them, it's something i am going to get into this year. So this weeks Wishlist Wednesday is all about the undergarments, from stockings to long line bras.

I have been meaning to order from House of Satin ever since they popped up on my Instagram feed. They are a low price range lingerie brand, which im always looking for. I think i will be ordering the girdle as it seems to be a good first girdle.

What Katie Did always have the prettiest lingerie but it always seems to expensive for me (i hate spending money haha). I would love to start waist training, their Morticia corset is very popular. I also had to include their new Lilac set, it so adorable.

I am a big fan of Dita Von Teese's Von Follies. I own a few bits from her collections. These are three that really caught my eye.

I hope you all enjoyed that.

Vivien of Holloway - The perfect winter skirt

About a month or so ago I finally purchased from Vivien of Holloway. I order two circle skirts. One in navy plaid and one in navy. Can you tell im liking navy lately? They were both on sale for 25 pounds each, they usually retail for 45 pounds. I did order these both in a 32 inch waist due to the 30 inch waist not being in stock. I knew they would be really big but skirts being too big can always be fixed. I took them to my local seamstress, where i paid $40 to get both skirts taken in. These skirts are both made in London which is great.

These skirts are both such high quality. The fabric is so thick and perfect for winter. I do find them a little scratchy but its fine with a slip or petticoat underneath. It is fastened with a zip and button which I prefer over just a zip. It feels more secure. The length is 28-29" which is a bit longer than usual circle skirts. I find most are around 26". I do like them being a little longer especially for winter.
I think the navy looks so pretty with all colours. Its something different than the usual black circle skirts. The navy and dark green really suit each other. This cardigan is the prettiest colour.

The navy plaid circle skirt is my favorite. It is textured and so lovely. I looks great with all of my plain cardigans such as this cute baby pink one. All my plain cardigans are from Kmart for the small price of $11. This outfit does make me feel a little Grease like, but that's never a bad thing right?

Friday Favorites # 4

Its that time of the week again, Friday Favorites. Although it's currently Saturday morning in New Zealand, it is Friday some where in the world. This weeks favorites are all 'Rockabilly' style. Its a style i don't tend to wear but im loving these pieces. I feel like i need some of these pieces as i don't have many casual outfits.

The Original Bad Girl has the best tops. I mean who doesn't love stripes and lurex. These would look so cute with a pair of high waisted jeans.

Freddies of Pinewood have some great items. I am a huge fan of yellow and peach at the moment. These tops would both look great with those black cigarette pants.

I need some of these jeans. They look so comfy and suit all sizes.

These shirts have been really popular lately. Can you see why? They have such a vintage look about them.

Well this weeks favorites are done and dusted for another week.
Have a great weekend.

Gingham and Calves

I have owned this Collectif skirt for probably a year now, and i have to say it's one of my go to skirts. I rarely wear the suspenders due to them slipping off while i am at work but they sure do look pretty cute. It look really cute paired with a basic top. I paired it with my lovely Olive Owl brooch from Erstwilder. It was a very lazy Sunday which resulted in a sock bun. I do love sock buns, they so quick and easy.

Can you spy the calves behind me?

Wishlist Wednesday - Heart of Haute edition

Hello All,

I decided to do a Wishlist Wednesday post this week. I'm going to do my wishlist from the Heart Of Haute website. I have been dying over all of their clothes for so long now. The only thing putting me off is the fact that shipping to New Zealand is about $40 which I find a bit too steep.
They have so many amazing clothes that they have/are releasing. So many cute prints and styles. I hope this year will be the year i take the jump and order from there (Ill just try and forget about the crazy shipping cost). Until then i'll continue to lust over all the loveliness.

That's all for today, Hope you're all having a great week.

Pinup Girl Clothing Havana Dress in Cool Tones Review

Hello All,

I have owned this Pinup Girl Clothing Havana dress in cool tones for a while now. It is one of my favorite dresses that i own. It costs $130 USD. I got a size large. I just love the colour combination. It is a mix of blues, greens, purple, yellow and black. It's not a combination i would pick, but boy does it work. The matching belt look's great too due to the lines being completely horizontal.

This dress has a satin lining in the bodice. The dress is made out of cotton and spandex. The fabric feels very heavy and high quality like every other PUG dress is. It does not have much give in it though. This dress does run quite big in the best. It would suit someone with a small waist and large bust. As you can see it is quite baggy in the chest on me, as i was not born well in doubt. It's defiantly something i can live with.

Another big plus is it has MASSIVE pockets, when i say massive i really mean it. Who doesn't love a dress with pockets?

The one good thing about living on a farm is all the great photo locations.

I was wearing this amazing hat i found of my Grandma's. Its so pretty, with a lovely little bow detail.
